I’ve never been one to really enjoy riding my bike outside in the winter. Sure, I’m eager to escape the monotony of riding indoors, but aside from the obvious reasons like cold feet and a constant runny nose, I absolutely hate the added maintenance involved with keeping my bike in tip-top shape. I’ve always been one to keep my drive chain in prime working condition and nothing ruins a ride like a rough chain or squeaky fly-wheel.
One tool that I will never be without is my Park Tool Cyclone Chain Scrubber. I love how quickly the Cyclone attaches to your chain and the ease at which it gets every link of my chain clean. The Cyclone has a neat opening allowing you to add the cleaner once the unit is attached to your chain and a beefy handle gives you an excellent grip. Another great feature is the built in magnet that pulls all the shards of metal that accumulate on your chain out of the cleaning solution. I’m always amazed at the amount of debris that comes off my chain.
Park Tool has a great website that shows you how to use your Cyclone Chain Scrubber. They even have a slick video you can watch. I love videos.
Enjoy your clean chain.
